The Federal Defense Firm was founded on a simple principle: every person accused of a federal crime deserves experienced, strategic, and relentless representation.
Federal criminal cases are unlike any other litigation. They involve extensive investigations by agencies such as the FBI, DEA, ATF, IRS Criminal Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Secret Service. They also require a thorough understanding of federal criminal procedure, the United States Sentencing Guidelines, and the unique practices of the federal courts.
From the first investigation through trial, sentencing, and appeal, our objective is the same—to protect our clients' liberty, reputation, family, and future.

Attorney Vincent E. Wisely has devoted more than twenty-five years to the practice of law.
His professional background is unusually diverse. Before entering private practice, he served as a Dallas Police Officer and later as an Assistant District Attorney. Throughout his legal career he has represented clients in both state and federal courts, handled complex criminal and civil litigation, argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and appeared in federal courts throughout Texas.
That combination of investigative experience, courtroom advocacy, and appellate practice provides clients with insight that can only be gained from decades inside the legal system.
Every client deserves honest advice.
Every case deserves meticulous preparation.
Every accusation deserves to be challenged.
Whether negotiating with federal prosecutors or preparing for trial, our philosophy remains the same: careful preparation, strategic thinking, and unwavering commitment to the client's interests.
No two cases are alike. Every defense is built around the specific facts, evidence, and legal issues presented.
